What a Difference Color Makes

I love decorating my home. I love taking ordinary things and making them beautiful. Furthermore, I love getting a great deal on just about anything. A while back, I found this French Provincial dresser at a garage sale that also came with 2 night stands for $100. Talk about a great deal!

I wasn’t thrilled with the color, so I decided to paint it. A friend of mine had given me some leftover paint from a different project, so that was free. An even better deal! I decided not to prime it, but did a light sanding on the entirety of the surface. It took a weekend to paint. Overall it took only 2 coats.

And I absolutely love the finished product!

I decided to use it as an entertainment center/toy storage/music storage. It is totally amazing how much life was breathed into the piece with a couple of coats of color.
