Man oh man! What an experience it has been to release a few songs to my friends and family! I have been encouraged more than you will ever know. I have gone through moments of elation and moments of regret. But the good outweighs the bad, always.
I really wanted to provide the music for free for a time. That was important to me. More than making any money at all, I want to give people opportunity to listen to my music should they have the desire. Noisetrade is great for that. They are also great at generating buzz for the EP. At this point, I want to take a look at convenience. Are you ready for the exciting news?! My label, Boy Genius Records and I have decided to make Soli Deo Gloria available on iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, and Spotify! I am so excited! Now, downloading the music will be a breeze. You can download it right to your iPhone, iPad, or Android device. But with convenience comes some sacrifice, which makes me a little sad. These websites require you to pay for the music, unlike Noisetrade. So, if you still want to download the songs for free, you can for a short time. We will take the songs off Noisetrade on July 15th. In order to download on the other sites, simply click on the respective links above.
For those of you who paid for the download on Noisetrade by tipping the artist, I want to especially thank you. It’s been amazing to see how many people have done so. And they have been from all over the world! It has brought me great joy! And to those of you who downloaded the music for free, I also want to thank you. Because you did, you publicized on your preferred social media networks, therefore letting your people know about my little EP. My ultimate objective in all of this is to provide someone, anyone with some encouragement or hope or comfort. And you are helping me achieve that. I cannot be more grateful. So cheers to you!
Here is a special behind-the-scenes look at the making of “Goodbye Ain’t Goodbye.” This is at the amazing and wonderful Noisevault Studio owned by my dear friends James and Lauri Johnson. And in it, you will see the stellar musicians I had the privilege of working with on this song. Cory West on guitar, Lyles West (his daddy) on bass guitar, and Paul Parkerson on drums. They rock! Obviously, I could not have done this without these incredible people.
